BATAVIA, OHIO (Aug. 14, 2026) – Power has been restored to most of the Batavia area and all county offices are open to the public for normal operations today.
About a dozen county offices were closed to the public Wednesday and Thursday due to storm-related power outages this week.
At its peak, approximately 40,000 homes and businesses lost power in Clermont County as a result of downed power lines caused by heavy wind and rain.
From the Clermont County Engineer, the following county roads remain closed this morning due to debris:
Crews for the engineer are still at work removing remaining debris on roadways.
The Village of Batavia closed its cooling center on the first floor of the armory last night and is directing residents to contact the police department, which can reopen the facility for residents still in need. The National Weather Service is forecasting more rain for today in Greater Cincinnati. A flood watch is still in effect through midday.
