Ohio River Expected to Crest Today; Red Cross Shelter Open in New Richmond

NEW RICHMOND, OHIO (April 7, 2025) - Emergency responders worked overnight Sunday to assist residents in the areas where flooding has occurred.


The Ohio River reached 60.45 feet as of Monday at 9:00 a.m. after heavy rainfall since Wednesday, April 2. It is expected to crest later today.


The American Red Cross shelter is open to the public at 1135 Bethel-New Richmond Road in the lower level of the New Richmond schools administration building.

The following roads in Clermont County remain closed due to flooding as of 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 7:

New Richmond

  • Front Street
  • Susanna Way
  • Sophia Street

  • Western Street

  • Market Street: Union to Race streets

Pierce Township

  • Palestine Street at the “T” intersection
  • Locust Corner Road between address 550 and Nine Mile-Tobassco
  • Old U.S. 52 near Nine Mile-Tobasco Road
  • Nine Mile at Locust Corner
  • Locust Corner north of Nine mile
  • Old US 52 at Pond Run Road
