Celebrate America 250 with Us at the Great American Birthday Party & Art Show on Monday, June 15

BATAVIA, OHIO (June 3, 2026) - Clermont County commissioners and Clermont Senior Services invite the public to celebrate America 250 at Union Township Civic Center on Monday afternoon June 15. The Great American Birthday Party & Art Show kicks off at 3:00 p.m. and will include live music, dancing and more.


All are welcome to this family friendly celebration!


The art show features patriotic quilts and watercolors handmade by local seniors.


The program at 4:00 p.m. will open with the Presentation of Colors by the New Richmond Color Guard and The National Anthem sung a cappella by Clermont County librarian Lisa Breithaupt and family.


Pianist Annie Takeuchi Lanzone will provide accompaniment for a sing along led by the Breithaupts. Ron Mohr, another Clermont County librarian, will recite The New Colossus, a poignant poem whose text is engraved in bronze on the Statue of Liberty's pedestal. 


Wrapping up the program will be the talented and entertaining ensemble of dancers known as BB Chicks, who will perform to patriotic tunes such as the Boogie Woogie Bugle Boys of Company B.


Cake and punch will be served after the program.
