About a Dozen County Offices Remain Closed to the Public Due to Power Outages

BATAVIA, OHIO (Aug. 13, 2026) – About a dozen county offices remain closed to the public today, Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, due to storm-related power outages.
County officials are coordinating with Duke Energy to restore power as soon as possible. An estimated 11,000 homes and businesses throughout the county still lack power.
The National Weather Service is forecasting more heavy rain for later today in Greater Cincinnati, as estimated two to four inches. Clermont County remains under a flood watch through tonight. See the graphic below for safety tips.

Animal Shelter
- Animal Shelter (closed to the public)
Building Inspection/Permit Central (2275 Bauer Road)
- Office closed but will perform scheduled building inspections.
Public Health
- The administration and vital statistics offices (birth/death certificates) at 2275 Bauer Road are closed to the public.
Please note:
- Previously scheduled health inspections will be conducted today.
- The nursing division and WIC offices at 2400 Clermont Center Drive/Suite 200 are open.
Clermont Transportation Connection
- Public bus service is running but routes may be delayed.
- The office is closed due to the power outage and cannot receive messages for the time being.
