Commissioner Painter named to National Association of Counties (NACo) Board of Directors, Vice Chairman of the Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee

BATAVIA, OH (July 23, 2020) – David Painter, President of the Clermont County Board of County Commissioners, has been appointed to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Board of Directors. He also was named Vice Chairman of the Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee for the upcoming year.

“My previous career supporting the Department of Energy and other federal agencies managing environmental remediation projects gives me a unique skill set to service the Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee,” Painter said.

NACo serves nearly 40,000 county elected officials and 3.6-million county employees.  Founded in 1935, NACo unities county officials to:  Advocate for county priorities in federal policymaking; promote exemplary county policies and practices; nurture leadership skills and expanded knowledge networks; optimize county and taxpayer resources and cost savings, and strives to enrich the public’s understanding of county government.
