Building Safety Week May 10-16 in Clermont County

Construction manager  architectBATAVIA, Ohio (May 4, 2015) — The Clermont County Building Inspection Department will celebrate Building Safety Week May 10-May 16 with the theme “Resilient Communities Start with Building Codes.”  First observed in 1980, Building Safety Week annually raises public awareness of critical safety issues affecting every person, regardless of age or occupation.

“The Chief Building Official, Building Inspectors, Plan Examiners and other staff in the Clermont County Building Inspection Department work to ensure the safety of the structures in which all of us live, work, attend school, worship, and play,” said Carl Lamping, Director of the Building Inspection Department. “These officials provide the first line of defense against building disasters. We are vigilant guardians who work daily to ensure safety in the built environment.”

The Clermont County Building Inspection Department will hold a Building Safety Week Open House lunch from noon-2 p.m. May 13 at Permit Central, 2275 Bauer Road, Batavia. The public and Clermont County employees are invited to attend.
