
BATAVIA, OHIO (Sept. 3, 2026) - The Clermont Genealogical Society invites the public to join together to pay tribute to those Revolutionary War veterans buried in Clermont County on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The genealogical society, in partnership with the Clermont County Historical Society and the America 250 - Ohio Commission, has identified the graves of more than 150 Revolutionary War veterans in Clermont County.
The ceremony to dedicate a permanent monument for all Revolutionary War veterans buried at various sites across the county will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in Union Township.
The ceremony is part of numerous celebrations and activities throughout the county to commemorate the 250th anniversary of our nation's founding, marked by the signing of the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776.
