Water Towers Getting Refurbished with New Paint, Updated Logo

BATAVIA, OHIO (Aug. 13, 2025) – Three of Clermont County’s 19 water towers are getting a refresh this year with repairs to the interiors and exteriors and a new paint job.

Crews this week are putting the final touches on the “Buckwheat” water tower at 1377 State Route 131 in Milford.

Two more are on schedule to be refurbished and repainted with the county’s logo by October – the Day Heights tank at 1100 State Route 131, also in Milford, and another at 422 Old Branch Hill Miamiville Road in Loveland.

The county typically repaints each of its 19 towers every 20 to 25 years. Tanks range in size from 100,000 gallons to 2 million gallons. The oldest tower was constructed in 1954 and the newest in 2008.
