NEW RICHMOND, OHIO (Aug. 11, 2025) – More than 125 residents, business owners, design and construction professionals, public officials and local first responders gathered today for Gov. Mike DeWine’s visit to celebrate the Liberty Landing groundbreaking in the riverfront Village of New Richmond.

The $13.4 million redevelopment project is part of the governor’s signature State of Ohio Appalachian Community Grant program.

Construction will take place in two phases with the streetscape portion along Front Street beginning later this month and the marina by next spring. The project will wrap up by October 2026.
