Dedication of New Juvenile Court Expansion

BATAVIA, OHIO (Dec. 2, 2025) – All are welcome to attend the dedication of Clermont County’s new Juvenile Court expansion at noon Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at 2340 Clermont Center Drive in Batavia.

A reception hosted by Judge James A. Shriver will take place after the ceremony. Light refreshments will be served.

The expansion added more than 29,000 square feet to the south of the existing building and features five new courtrooms, office space for the Juvenile Clerk and Juvenile Probation Department, as well as office space for the Prosecutor and Public Defender.

The north side of the building remains home to Clermont County’s Domestic Relations Court. The new and existing wings of the building total 40,000 square feet and include a single public entry and security check point for both courts.

The expansion includes a connector that runs from the new Juvenile Court to the Detention Center.

The architect for the project was Nestor Melnyk with Cincinnati-based MSA Design. The contractor was Florence, Ky.-based Mark Spaulding Construction Co.
