The Clermont Park District planted the Swamp White Oak between the East Fork of the Little Miami River and its recently completed sun deck. The festivities at Sycamore Park included a ribbon cutting to dedicate the deck.

The tree is a legacy gift from the America 250-Ohio Commission. All 88 counties in Ohio will receive a native oak tree to commemorate the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
