BATAVIA, OHIO (Aug. 20, 2025) – Clermont County will run tests on its outdoor warning sirens today, Wednesday, Aug. 20, between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. to troubleshoot recent issues.
The county is working with its vendor to address problems that have included sirens not activating or running continuously during regular checks over the past few months.
The vendor and its technicians will be in the field during the test and sirens may be activated multiple times during the 30-minute period.
The test will be postponed and rescheduled if there is a risk of severe weather.
To report an issue with a siren, please call (513) 732-7661 or enter the information at https://arcg.is/0CWnLX.
The outdoor warning sirens are a part of an integrated warning system and are intended to alert residents outdoors of a tornado warning. Residents are encouraged to have multiple means of receiving severe weather alerts such as a NOAA Weather Radio, smart device app, AM/FM radio, and access to local weather information. Free services are available through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), American Red Cross, and local media outlets. When alerts are received, take shelter indoors, tune into a local media station, and take the appropriate action. Advance warning can save lives.
The next regular monthly test is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.
