America 250: Clermont County Unveils Historical Mural Trail to Celebrate 250 Years

BATAVIA, OHIO (May 15, 2024) – Jeff Blom, director of the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, provided an update on Clermont County’s America 250 plans during Monday’s session.

America 250 is a nationwide commemoration of the nation’s founding in 1776, with various events planned nationwide, including in Ohio.

In Clermont County, the plan is to finance seven historical public art murals showcasing pivotal moments and figures in the region’s 250-year history. These murals will celebrate the county’s heritage, educate locals and visitors, and foster pride in its cultural legacy. The project aims to establish an America 250 Historical Public Art Mural Trail, aligning with the county’s Agenda for the Future to integrate public art into the community and enhance its quality of life.
