BATAVIA, Ohio (May 14, 2018) – At their session on May 9, County Commissioners approved a $1.89 million contract for the construction of a new Records Center facility to Perkins/Carmack Construction LLC of Milford.
The 20,000-square-foot metal building is expected to be completed by February 2019, according to Facilities Manager Wade Grabowski. It will be built off Clermont Center Drive on property next to the Clermont County Family Support Center.
The current Records Center has outgrown its office on Main Street in the Village of Batavia. It houses all paper and electronic records for all departments under the Board of County Commissioners as well as other elected offices. These records are held to comply with departments’ and offices’ various retention policies, and all comply with the Ohio Revised Code.
Currently, a staff of three work at the Records Center.
