OWENSVILLE, Ohio (Aug, 18 2017)– Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is celebrating its 74th year with its annual banquet on Sept. 14 at Clermont County’s Pattison Park Lodge, 2228 US 50, Batavia 45103.
The evening’s entertainment includes a program presented by the Wave Foundation at Newport Aquarium. Through a partnership with Clermont SWCD and other districts in Greater Cincinnati, the aquarium has constructed a new mobile freshwater aquarium that will soon be available for educational programs at school, libraries and more. The mobile aquarium will be on display at our meeting, along with a “special guest critter.”
The banquet will feature a catered dinner by A Taste of the Good Life of Union Township. Wine from O’Bannon Creek Vineyard and beverages from Old Firehouse Brewery of Williamsburg will also be available. Other festivities include conservation awards, and a silent auction for several great items, including a personalized airplane tour of Clermont County.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Voting for the election of two SWCD Board supervisors will remain open until 7 p.m. Banquet tickets ($12 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under) must be purchased in advance.
