BATAVIA, Ohio (March 22, 2016) – Clermont County Park District’s Spring Break Day Camps on March 28 and March 30 provide wonderful opportunities for children to spend a day exploring nature. The day is full of outdoor adventure, hands-on activities, storytelling, active games and craft projects. Campers are divided into groups of similarly aged children. Kids should dress in layers for indoor and outdoor activities, pack a lunch and drink, and be ready for fun!

All of our favorite cold-blooded friends are waking up for spring and are waiting to meet you! Discover signs of spring as we hike through the meadow and explore the bog. Create a springtime craft, join in on fun games and hands-on activities.

A dandelion may be just a weed to some but to us, it is a delicious treat! Did you know that plants have a secret life? Join park naturalists as we unlock these secrets and discover other wild edible plants during our hike. Enjoy hands-on activities, taste test some “wild” edibles during lunch and create a seed bomb with Ohio native wildflowers to help make our Earth an even more beautiful place!
To register your child(ren), contact naturalist Jana Marshall-Westhoven at jmarshall@clermontcountyohio.gov to reserve your spot. The fee is $25 per child. Please make all checks payable to Clermont County Park District. All proceeds go to improving parks and educational programs.
