The Clermont County Commissioners have proclaimed September 11 as National Patriot Day. Fourteen years have passed since our country was brutally attacked on a quiet September morning and on that day thousands of innocent lives were taken from us. The victims and the families who lost loved ones on that day remain in our hearts and prayers and the hearts and prayers of our nation. We also remember the courage of firefighters, police officers, emergency personnel and scores of private citizens that showed the true meaning of heroism. Clermont County citizens are encouraged to observe Patriot’s Day by displaying the flag at half staff, attend remembrance services and observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 a.m. to honor the innocent victims who lost their lives due to the result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
