Weather spotter training offered March 3

tornadoBATAVIA, Ohio (Feb. 10, 2015) –The Emergency Management Agencies of Clermont and Brown Counties are co-hosting  a weather spotter training workshop from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 3 at Western Brown High School, 524 W. Main St., Mount Orab.

Meteorologists from the National Weather Service  will provide training that includes how to safely observe storms, how to identify important features of storms, visual clues that may precede tornado development, and how to make accurate and timely reports.

Storm spotters play an important role in identifying and relaying storm-related information to the county Emergency Management Agencies, local public safety officials, and the National Weather Services.

There is no charge for the workshop.
