BATAVIA, Ohio (Dec. 4, 2014) – The Clermont County Department of Job and Family Services is collecting food baskets for needy families for the holidays.
The baskets should contain boxes of stuffing mix, canned vegetables, cranberry sauce, boxes or cans of potatoes, cans of sweet potatoes, biscuit or bread mix, dessert mixes such as for brownies, cake or cookies, and any other non-perishable food, such as tuna, mac and cheese, rice, beans, canned tomatoes, etc.
Other items families would appreciate include toiletries, board games, and holiday music.
Please bring the food boxes to the southeast (back) entrance of the Clermont Family Support Center, 2400 Clermont Center Drive, Batavia, no later than Dec. 22, 2015. The building is open from 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m.
The Department of Job and Family Services includes Children’s Protective Services, which oversees the care of children who are removed from their parents’ home due to neglect and abuse.
