BATAVIA, Ohio (Oct. 17, 2014) – The Clermont Board of County Commissioners will hold its Nov. 5 regular session at 10 a.m. at the County Engineer’s training room, 2381 Clermont Center Drive. The regular session will be followed by the Orchard Valley Ditch Petition first public hearing, continued from Oct. 1, which is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Because commissioners expect a large turnout for the ditch petition hearing, they decided to move regular session to the engineer’s training room, which can accommodate up to 99 people.
The ditch petition hearing concerns the Orchard Valley subdivision in Miami Township. Miami Township is responsible for the maintenance, improvements and repairs of the portion of the storm sewer draining system that is in the public right of way. Petitioners are asking Clermont County to undertake the maintenance, improvement and repair of those parts of the storm sewer drainage system that are outside of the public rights-of-way, according to the petition. The full petition can be found here.
