Enjoy the spectacular fall weather by celebrating the Williamsburg to Batavia Hike Bike Trail Ceremonial Kick-Off Event on Saturday, October 26 at 10am. Bring your bike, family and all your friends – we’re serving apple cider and cookies!
The campground segment of the Williamsburg to Batavia Hike Bike Trail is almost complete! Join the county, local leaders and nature enthusiasts as we celebrate the opening of this portion of the trail. Hear speeches from excited local leaders, be a part of the ribbon cutting celebration, take a guided walk to the Old Cain Run Road Lake overlook (about 1.5 miles round trip) and enjoy cookies and apple cider. A ceremonial bike ride will head down the trail immediately following the ribbon cutting to kick-off the trail opening. Guests are encouraged to bring their bikes to the ceremony and join the ride.
The ceremony will take place at the trailhead in the East Fork State Park Campground. Parking will be located at the East Fork State Park Campground Gate parking lot. A shuttle bus will be available starting at 9:15 a.m. to transport guests to the ceremony.
The Williamsburg to Batavia Hike Bike Trail is a collaboration between Williamsburg Village and Township, Batavia Village and Township, the Clermont County Park District, Army Corp of Engineers, East Fork State Park, ODNR Division of Wildlife, Clermont County Engineer and Commissioners.
