Batavia, Ohio. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Clermont County invite you to take part in the 13th annual Scott McDowell River Run on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in New Richmond. The 5k race, walk, and kids fun run begins at 9 a.m. at Boys and Girls Club of New Richmond, located at 212 Market Street. Runners and walkers of all ages can enjoy the scenic view of the Ohio River as the course takes them down historic Front Street on this flat course. The run is named after New Richmond native Scott McDowell, who died of a heart condition at the age of 31.
There is no cost to participate if you are a Clermont Boys and Girls Club member; complete registration information is available online at www.runningtime.net.
The Boys and Girls Club is a positive place for children, providing after school homework assistance and activities for children, who previously would have had to return to an empty house.
