Volunteers Needed for Clermont Citizen Corps
Batavia, Ohio. When a tornado, flood, or other type of disaster occurs, a timely and coordinated response is critical to assist communities struggling with such a disaster. Trained volunteers are needed for recovery efforts. If you would like to help, the Clermont County Citizen Corps is offering a free training opportunity on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville.
"Training opportunities will include how to set-up and staff a volunteer center and how to match volunteers to the needs of professional responders," said Clermont Emergency Management Agency Director Beth Nevel. "With a better trained volunteer base we will be better prepared to respond to disasters, resulting in safer, stronger, and disaster resistant communities."
