Clermont County Announces Child Support Awareness Month Activities
Coloring Contest and Graduation Assistance Planned
Batavia, Ohio. Clermont County Child Support Enforcement (CSE), a division of the Department of Job and Family Services, is planning several activities for children during the months of June, July, and August, as part of the annual observance of Child Support Awareness Month in August. A coloring competition and graduation assistance are part of outreach efforts to increase awareness about the many programs offered by CSE and its mission to collect child support payments and enforce medical insurance orders that benefit the youngest members of our community.
Children, between the ages of 3 to 10, are invited to compete in the third annual coloring contest sponsored by CSE; complete details about the contest and the coloring pages for each age group are available on the Web site www.ClermontSupportsKids.org or call (513) 732-7248; the deadline for submitting pictures is July 21.
This year, four teens graduating from high school will be awarded gift certificates to assist them with entering the job market, to further their education, or assist them with independent living needs. CSE is also sponsoring an educational program to benefit pregnant and parenting teens, to help them with their graduation goals.
Throughout the month of August, CSE will distribute treats to children and paying obligors that visit the CSE office in Batavia, located at 2400 Clermont Center Drive. A number of local businesses have donated items to CSE to distribute as part of the awareness month activities; there will be drawings for Cincinnati Reds tickets, Cincinnati Zoo passes, and nine book bags filled with supplies.
