The Board of County Commissioners, Clermont County, Ohio will be accepting written sealed bids for the provision of services to the Senior Citizens of Clermont County, Ohio as those persons are defined in the Older Americans Act of 1965 42 U.S.C., Sections 3001, et. seq., services or facilities according to the specifications for same for Calendar Year 2010, subject to availability of funds as provided in the bid specifications.
All bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope marked: BID – SENIOR SERVICES – 2010, and must be received in the Office of the Board of County Commissioners, 101 E. Main Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103-2960 no later than 2:00 P.M. local time on November 19, 2009, at which time all bids shall be opened and read publicly.
Bidders are cautioned to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the specifications and other pertinent information which has been set forth in the instructions to bidders. This expenditure of funds is authorized by Sections 307.694 and 5705.19(Y) of the Ohio Revised Code and bidders are charged with knowledge and understanding of those pertinent sections. Funds available for such services are estimated at $5,900,000.00 for Calendar Year 2010.

A bid bond or certified check, cashier’s check or money order on a solvent bank or savings and loan association in the minimum amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) must accompany the bid. Letters of credit and bid bonds must be filed with original signatures. Facsimiles and electronic copies of the letter of credit, bid bond and Power of Attorney will be deemed non-responsive. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all bids and to hold such bids for a period of sixty (60) days before taking any action and to award to the lowest and best bidder.
